This project was the first of two projects we made in the course Mechatronics. The assignment was designing and building a simple robot, capable of performing the following tasks:
I worked on this project with Atli Tobiasson Helmer and we made the decision to focus on doing the tasks reliably and steared away from overly complicated solutions. This resaulted in a simple tower-like structure with extremely simple mechanisms qhich made the robot's movement very reliable but in turn, not very flexible.
The process was recorded on Atli's website (website is in Icelandic). Below is a short video showing a demo code that feeds our professor, Magnús Þór Jónsson, soup successfully. Notice after the spoon goes up, it makes sure the spoon isn't overfilled. For this project we recieved a grade of 95/100.
